Nelson J. Perez
 Son of a prominent Cuban attorney, Nelson J Perez was born in Havana, Cuba. It was at Haverford Prepatory, in sixth grade where he first got the acting bug. Starring in a comedy play written and directed by a fellow classmate, Nelson took on the role of the Cream Puff Queen and realized a boyhood dream of acting.
A brief but memorable military tour distracted his pursuit of the entertainment arts. But finally through a serendipitous moment, he once again discovered his passion and resumed his acting career appearing in such blockbuster films as Bad Boys II, The Fast & The Furious II. He landed roles on popular television series such as CSI Miami, Burn Notice, America's Most Wanted, and the Sopranos. He has appeared in over 30 National commercials and more than 40 character parts in feature films and independent cinema.
Most recently he steps behind the camera for the fifth time to direct Hunter's of the Sun, a genre film dealing with vampires in Miami Beach. His previous directorial achievements began with the short film Twas The Night, a touching story of two people who give of themselves and ask for nothing in return. He followed Twas The Night with a television pilot for the Hispanic market, Izquierdo Para Sus Derechos, a reality show based on real law cases, a spec commercial for Heinz Ketchup, “Rockin' Granpa”, an infomercial for VerifiedBuddy.com, and is currently working on producing a reality series.
His fascination with film and European cinema gives him a schooled approach to making movies. His love of story telling is evident when you meet him in person. A Cum Laude graduate in Film & television he is President of 63rd Street Films and a managing partner of Under 5 entertainment.
A successful entrepreneur with an artistic eye, Nelson J Perez is every bit a writer, producer, director and actor.
